presented their designated scholarship to Andrew Oliveira.

BRIAN BERRY KICKS OFF THE 2010 FUND RAISING SEASON ON HIS BIKE! |
|

|
As a long time member of the Fishin' Mission and two-time
defending champion of the Fishin' Mission Big Fish Derby, Brian
is now pedaling for contributions to the Fishin' Mission
Foundation. On Tuesday, March 2, 2010, he teamed up with Bank of America Consumer
Market Executive Neil White, in Dallas, Texas, for a 132
mile bike ride. Neil White was riding for the
National MS Society and Brian, of course, was riding for the
Fishin' Mission Foundation!
The
ride
was safe and successful,
as they
visited 36 of the Bank of America Banking Centers in their
market, and raised $2,110 each for their respective
charities! FMF
thanks Brian for his commitment and for the additional
support this contribution will provide to the Bridgeport
Community! |

CHECK PRESENTED TO BFEF
|
|

|
| In our continuing efforts to support the Bridgeport Community, the Fishin' Mission Foundation
made a $3,450 contribution to the Bridgeport Fish Enhancement
Foundation. The funds will be used for aerator and filter system upgrades, as well as additional power supply and backup to protect the fish.
It's important to note that $1,100 of the contribution was
from a designated donation made by Fish- O- Rama,
a fellow fishing group, which started it's support of the Fishin' Mission Foundation earlier this year.
The check was presented by FMF Treasurer Carmine DeCicco (r) to Eric
& Michelle Gehrung of the BFEF. |

06/05/2008 FISHIN'
MISSION FOUNDATION AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS!
As the first official activity
of the newly created Fishin' Mission Foundation, we were proud to
present two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from the Eastern
Sierra Academy in Bridgeport. We worked with Mr.
Roger Yost, the principal of the Eastern Sierra Academy, who established
the selection criteria for choosing the recipients of the scholarships.
Since school was still in session during our 35th Annual Fishin'
Mission, we had the pleasure of meeting at the school with both faculty
and student body to present the scholarships in person. It was an
inspiring visit to an amazing school, and it was terrific to meet these
dynamic young scholars with their future ahead of them!

2008 FMF Scholarships! Congratulations to Kelsey Northington
(center left), who will pursue a career in law, and Ivan Maguier
Cornejo, who plans a career in computer animation.
